Born in Nashville Tennessee home of country music, growing up Jazmyne Crowder founder of "Designs by Jazmyne '', discovered that her 'music' was her unique fashion style and the school corridor, her catwalk.
Determined to launch a career in design, Jazmyne set up her own company and began to inspire others with hair tutorials and stunning clothing designs on social media. The beautiful handcrafted designs that she makes are a result of years of training since elementary school. Her beautiful physique and wide smile were quickly noticed by a major mainstream hair company, who signed her up as a wig model for whom she still models.
When it comes to hair fashion, she loves the versatility of locs for protective styling. Having abandoned the relaxers of once upon a time, crochet allows her to embrace the natural textures of afro hair. At the same time, she's always ready to switch it up with a wig and advises others to do the same saying "when you try something new, you just might like it".
Now living in Atlanta, she is inspired by its energy and vibe. She hopes that one day it will become the seat of an International design house: Designs by Jazmyne. Designs by Jazmyne focuses on tailoring for the chic and fashionable modern woman and hair features too; because "hair completes the look".
Jazmyne's desire to inspire goes beyond making women look beautiful with finely tailored apparel and swimwear. She supports her community by teaching sewing in an elementary school, providing young ones with an essential life skill that can enable them to become the stylists of tomorrow.
She believes that the future of the Black hair industry lies squarely in the hands of Black women who bring true inspirational style.
